Right now mystery boxes just give a tiny amount of cash. It's neat for a very casual person but even then it won't help you buy much other than a cheap dealership car at best.
What I'm suggesting is 'boosts'. Maybe you could get a temporary xp ard cash boost for 30 minutes after opening a chest. Some more rewards could be common or uncommon items from the item shop so if you are lucky you can get pull one for free just by logging in.
