Yes I agree it should be only specific symbols/emojis perhaps they can start out with a few and move on to more as per suggestions. I think that an easy way to negate people using them to create bad things is to just have them be as if it was any letter in the alphabet or something like that so it cannot be used as a replacement letter in bad words or something. I'm sure there is a way to properly moderate it while still allowing some symbols

It should only be specific emojis, not all of them. Another wards allow emojis like lighting bolts, stars, and more specific ones, but not just any emoji.

This was disabled because of more than 100k people using symbols in order to use racist, homophobic, and etc names and the reason is because symbols will not count as actual letters meaning you can spell whatever you want, so unless nt wants to do that and deal with all that then it will probably stay forgotten.
