This year marks the 15 year anniversary of Nitrotype since it was created in 2011. I think therefore, it is a reasonable and cool propsect, to allow people to purchase lifetime gold for 1 week and/or day during Christmas this year.
If the devs are worried about say the revenue/lost revenue, maybe there can be a certain rule/cap on who can purchase it. I suggest making the cap based on how long they were a member. Say people who've had accounts for 5 years (if you want to be extreme) or even 2 years/1 year can purchase it.
There's only one 15 year anniversary, better to use it to its fullest potential than not!
